Conducted by Dr. Joan DellaValle and Dr. Meredith Harbord

Audience: Teachers and Administrators Pre-K through 12

It is difficult to understand the pressures on teachers and to truly evaluate what they do on a daily basis especially with online learning. Teachers tend to be critical of what they do and rarely celebrate their successes. Ed Koch, a former Mayor of New York, walked around questioning his success as mayor. He would stop people and ask them “how am I doing?" In total contrast to that, most educators cringe when they are about to be evaluated and it is usually because they do not know the parameters of the game.  In this workshop we will examine what good teaching looks like and measure ourselves against proven standards of excellence.
